Pastor Sung was born in Daejeon, South Korea, and raised in Tampa, Florida, where he grew up as a fourth-generation Presbyterian. Deeply shaped by his parents’ faith and example, he developed a lifelong passion for living in and sharing God’s grace through Jesus Christ.

With over 30 years of ministry experience, Pastor Sung has served congregations across Florida, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, and has participated in mission work in Africa, China, Mexico, Europe, Canada, and the United States. He currently also serves as Assistant Director of the New Wilmington Mission Conference—the world’s longest-running global mission gathering.

Pastor Sung’s greatest joy in ministry is helping others grow in their relationship with God through Jesus Christ. He and his wife, Rev. Dr. Hope Lee, Lead Pastor at Vienna Presbyterian Church, live in Reston with their three children. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, cooking, music, and cheering for his beloved Florida Gators, Tampa Bay Rays, Lightning, and Buccaneers.
