Meet Our Staff
Lindsey Smith
Lindsey Smith is a retired Air Force veteran with 26 years of service (1983–2009), including as a member of The United States Air Force Band, performing nationally and internationally. He also worked in Public Affairs, Recruitment, Military Protocol, and IT. Lindsey holds music degrees from Michigan State University (B.M.) and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (M.M.).
After retiring, Lindsey joined John C. Cook’s office on the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors in 2009, serving as Office Manager, Senior Administrative Aide, and later Chief of Staff (2017–2020), acting as Supervisor Cook’s lead advisor until his retirement from the county.
He remains active as a music teacher and performer, residing with his wife, Jill, and their two dogs.
