Klose will be in the office beginning the week of November 11th. She will meet with session for their regularly scheduled meeting on November 11th and be available to meet with church members. More information on specific office hours will be forthcoming.
Rev. Klose has had many careers in her life. She received her BA in Anthropology from Bryn Mawr College, and her MDiv from Wesley Theological Seminary. Before becoming a Teaching Elder, she worked on scholarship programs to China, was a production artist for print and web publications, and spent several years as a stay-at-home mom.
In her position as Parish Associate at Falls Church Presbyterian, Megan has taught classes for adults and youth, designed workshops and retreats, and led worship. She is particularly interested in designing engaging worship that appeals to all the senses and creates an environment of authenticity.
Megan has worked as a chaplain for six years. Most recently, she was a staff chaplain at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, VA, where she worked closely with Palliative Care, Behavioral Health, and the Cancer Resource Center. She is a trained Resolve Through Sharing facilitator in perinatal loss, and resourced medical staff and patients in Women’s Services and NICU.
She currently contributes to National Capital Presbytery by providing pulpit supply and serving on the Committee on Preparation for Ministry. She is also a member of the Presbytery’s Response Coordinating Team, which leads Healthy Boundaries training and accompanies parties in cases of sexual misconduct.
Megan lives in Falls Church with her husband, Frank, and their high school senior, Alexander. They attend Falls Church Presbyterian, where Frank serves as a Deacon. Megan enjoys cardmaking and needlework, hanging out with her family, and snuggling Scooby, their aging schnoodle.
